Passion for rags....

Right, this still isn't a fashion blog. I'm not into fashion, nor do I follow it. I buy shit that I like the look of, if I can afford it. You won't catch me paying 200 quid for a fucking t-shirt though....
My passion is clothes. They are a form of self expression, and using colours and patterns to reflect and lift my mood. I love the slightly camp and the tacky, hawaiian and tropical prints are always go, leopard never fades either!
I trawl through second hand markets, charity shops and boot sales and buy pretty things. Optimally my home would have lots of storage space, and a room for crafts. At the moment it has neither of them, so it looks horrendous.
This time, I have a pile of pics of bargain finds, and also my sewing frenzy I had last week....
Here we go....
Some skirts a whipped up for le child from scraps.
Two of the same skirt, the other one got a new home in another girls wardrobe.
 My fashionable assistant
I bought some tropical fabric and made it into a dress for warm weather..
This was originally a full dress, and fucking tiny, so I bought it (2€), cut it up ....
and added a stretchy panel to accommodate my ass.
Primark find, rarely I pay full price, but this just couldn't be passed....
My anti-depressant bag... Charity find £3
Pretty summer frock with embroidery and sequins £1..
Lovely duvet cover, I think it would make a nice skirt or trousers if I don't use it as bedding....
Got a pencil skirt, was too tight for my buttocks, so made little sidepanels from another skirt...
T-shirt that was small enough to fit my kid, butchered and added another tee to bring length...
Same with this one, pink fabric was bought years ago, never got around making it into anything...
Cute details... :)

That's it for now. More to come soon...

    1. I'm crap at sewing, but my overlocker makes up for it.... Details are not my thing and the "stretch stitch" on my machine looks horrible on close inspection, but they are wearable....Thanks chick, the calaveras skirt was cheap one on ebay, just come up very small sized...
