Pimpin up a hoodie...

I've had this hoodie for ages, bought it from a bootsale for a quid, and I still love it. Unfortunately it started to have little holes, and general signs of wear, so I thought to freshen it up with some fabric scraps I had in a pile......

I also threw it in a dye bath, not very good colour, but it gives a nice surface for the fabric patches. I put some glitter glue to the edges to keep them from fraying like bitches, and I embroidered the edges, to make a little extra effect.

'tis the season, over, thank f***

It's over, thank f***. For some reason , I started with a very excited mood towards xmas, getting house all nice etc, but slowly with time, my season mood just died. I have no idea why. Felt like the fucking Grinch over the holidays, so now it's done. Hope this year is nicer. It was lovely to have my ma around tho, but as family shit always has people disliking each other, there was tension. Maybe that's the stuff that killed my xmas.

It wasn't all doom and gloom, I got to Ikea, and Deep Sea World, which was nice. The drive wasn't, we had bad weather both ways and we saw a bad accident due to weather conditions, so needless to say when we got home, I had a long sigh for making it in one piece.
I've had craft mojo on the low too, so need to get back on my tracks and get shit done. Got a phone for xmas, (surprise....)  so made a bling cover for it.
That's about it. Hope year 2014 has good things in store, and has had a good kickstart!
Anyone wondering who the manny on the phone is, watch The Onedin Line. That is one handsome man called Jack Onedin from the show...
Ta ta for now...

P.S Oh the ceiling bubble... That was my upstairs neighbours radioator pipe leaking.... You know, just so the fun doesn't end.... Hahahahah..

Old cartoons...

Now that I've had an excuse to watch cartoons with my mini-me, I have to say, the old ones are still better.
My modern favourites are Spongebob Squarepants, Adventure Time and Almost Naked Animals.
But there is still magic in the good old mole, Krtek in Czech.
Love love love. I would love to buy krtek stuff for my daughter, and myself, but they are a bit dear...

Then there's the list of 80's-90's cartoons, that still are superior to the majority of poop that is fed to kiddos these days.
I love Rainbow Brite, for all the innocence and colours...
The proper old school  My Little Pony
I love the vintage ones, they also have the innocent, child-like soft looks, that make them a lot more sweeter than the new version. I don't like the way everything is made to look the same in new cartoons.

Dr. Snuggles. Shows nowadays ain't got shit on imagination........
Altho I'd say Adventure Time comes as a good second on the line.

I miss The Snorks, the underwater version of The Smurfs...
Not to miss out on the old time greats like Dastardly and Muttley, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Speedy Gonzales,
Roadrunner, Maya the Bee,
Taotao
and heaps more....
90's had the cheesy greats like Captain Planet, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Casper the Friendly Ghost
Ren and Stimpy, Moomins, etc...
Oh those were the days...
Anyhoo, I shall stick on some cartoons and get crafting.

See you later, alligator!
