The realm of snot..

My little one was lurgied last week, my other half still is, and now I have a hedgehog lodged in my throat, and lungs collecting gunk. Gotta love the lurgy season.
I'm knitting a little snood style scarf, and after that I'm going to attempt to try out Karelian embroidery style that is commonly used in Kaspaikka, which is a linen towel usually hung on orthodox icons. Also used in the entrance of a house, so coming in you would wash your hands before entering the living area.
Will see when I get to try this out though, as my lurgy is still in early stages, will see how stuffed I feel by the end of the evening....
At least it is actually sunny, a very welcome thing after a week of dark heavy grey clouds of rain, and stormy winds.

  1. The snotty party is when you're recovering, it's the hedgehog that makes you sick. I take honey dissolved in hot water.

    1. Oh I have the whole shebang. Cough brewing, snot taps opening up and still that flippin spiky mammal in the throat. I take D3-vitamin, C and zinc, and honey with some herbal drops in my tea.. :D

  3. Oh you're nicer than me. I'd lock it in the bathroom with some puppy pads.

    1. I've had the dog longer than kiddo, and she doesn't like doing her business inside, she does wake me up, so less cleaning up too, and less unsavoury smells :)

  4. The flu made it's way through my house just in time for Christmas. Quarantined for Christmas gets you uninvited to holiday gatherings- people treating ya like you are carrying black plague when it was just a little flu bug. : ( Hope you are feeling better soon.

    1. :( I don't mind little colds, they are relatively easy to deal with, the flu is something I'm not keen on getting. Haven't got the vaccine tho. Maybe I should next year...Springtime is always plague-ridden, and now with the very wet and mild winter, it's horrible... We are ok for now, thanks :)
