I know this will be a piss in someones breakfast, but here we go.....
Now that I'm having a lot of folk popping sprog around me, I find myself struggling with the mandatory congratulation rounds, baby showers etc. Congratulations on being a fucking mammal, congratulations on fornication leading to fertilisation?.....I was relatively young when I had mine, not a teenager by any chance, but still one of the first ones in my group of friends to procreate. I never got supported that much, I never had baby showers, my good friend at the time told me what a fucking mistake that'll be... Yet my kid is doing fine, and things go on with their own flow. I'm weird, but I just don't really get the whole whoohaa around it. It's biology.... The only situation where I could say oh what a surprise, and wow well done, is if you have truly struggled to start a family, and had rounds of IVF etc, then, it would be a bit of a miracle.
Same goes for overdoing everything, I breastfed mine until 12 months, but it doesn't put me above people who bottlefed. The battle and demonisation of women and telling them being bad mothers for whatever happens to be trendy at the moment, is just plain dumb. Breastfeed if you can, just don't over-do it, kids grow teeth for a fucking reason, and the milk does change, so there is no nutritional need after 12 months anyway.....I find it creepy having women telling how they have a 5 year old sucking their titties. You might wanna check your dependant personality there, love....
There are many reasons why I stay the fuck away from "mommy" groups, as I would end up punching someone, and I don't like kids anyway.
I don't like people.
Hah.
The other thing that ticks me off, that this day and age, why are women still expected to want a family. Not everyone likes kids. Not everyone wants to have them. Still women who CHOOSE not to have kids are frowned upon, or thought there is something wrong with them..... Biggest pile of bollocks I say.
I can't help it, but having someone in my family with very old school views on women, and how they should be, I sometimes need to contain myself from not going apeshit everytime I hear the hypocritical shit....Bitch, please.
Enough of the foaming in the mouth.

Father's day...huh....
Happy father's day to the ones who deserve the title.
My dad committed suicide almost 2 years ago. Not a single tear from my eyeballs for that one.
He was spineless dick. But obviously enough, his new family wasn't that great either, that he would've wanted to stick around....
My other half gets sweet fuck all. Just the same that I get on birthdays, mothers days etc etc.
My partner has killed all the little celebrations in life.
I turned 30 last christmas, we were skint, like we always seem to be, and while we were told not to buy anything and have very basic christmas dinner, he was busy spending money on his motorbike.
So 'scuse me if I'm not gushing out with joy over the men I've had in my life.
My lil 'un drew pictures of the dog pooping on the card.
Spot on m'dear.

Computer says no!
Soooo. Been a little while, as my computer decided to keel over dead, so writing posts can be a bit difficult without telepathy skills. I got a laptop from a very lovely friend, so my internet existence may resume.
And now time for a little ranty mcrant. Shit that grinds my gears.
Pricing. Be it charity shop, online auction, or a second hand /flea market.
This is especially bad in Finland, and in the UK it's mainly charity shops and online market places.
Seriously. Just because an item cost you x amount so many years ago, does not mean it would be still worth a lot of money. The minute the item leaves the shop, the value drops. And the more time passes and the usage the item gets, the value drops even more. So no, I'm not gonna buy your filthy, flat, nasty looking sofa for £200, just because it cost you 600 in 1997.
Same applies for shoes, bags, anything really. The worst offender is a Finnish auction site, where people post items with a starting price so high, you don't want to bid on anything. Or would you bid on tatty looking winter boots, with 7 euros for posting and another 7 as the starting price? That's why I admit my dirty love for eBay, as it truly has a chance for good bargains.
Another thing is vintage. Just because something is old, it does not automatically make it expensive.
This vintage fashion has also killed bargains. People buy things cheap, and re-sell for mega high prices. I know, it's not the idiot who asks, but the one who pays. Just that when I sell things, I sell them cheap, as I know what a great feeling it is, to find good bargains. Not every "vintage enthusiast" can make a living being a re-seller, so hold on to yer vintage hats and yer day jobs...
I make random things and occasionally I sell stuff, but I keep my pricing low. Jewellery that has been made from cheapo stuff that is bought off eBay for 99p, is not worth £19 pounds.
I'm chronically skint, so me buying anything, is always dependant on finding those bargains.
Anyhoo, that's enough for the ranting, for now.
In other news, I seem to have my very first follower! Woooooo!
So, HIYA!!!
Hope your day is mighty fine and full of crafty goodness, as that is what I will get doing too.
okthxbye

beach bodies...
Seriously. People come in different sizes, howcome is it so hard to understand.
Seeing "feminists" posting about how terrible the world is and then next post is them putting a pic of a lady with a big belly, and then laughing at it...yeah. I have a big ass, and I fucking love it.
Not gonna rant anymore, as I have given up on the human kind, most of them are fucking idiots. Okthxbye.

some thoughts..
So, today is women's day.
I'm not that fussed.
However, seeing some peoples reaction, has got me thinking, what in the world is happening to people?
Men complain that it's not fair, and women complain that men don't understand.
Throughout history, patriarchy has been the way to go, so maybe give women some slack. Also the fact that even today where we are supposedly equal, women still have to conform into certain beauty moulds. Big boobs, make up, big hair, small bum, revealing clothing. And don't forget that whether you want it or not, men are still gonna tell women their opinions on looks, bodytype etc.
I don't see headlines about criticising the way male politicians dress, or how male celebrities have put on weight etc...
I find it all just a big joke. I don't take it seriously. Because if I did, I'd go mad.
I'm very opinionated, and have strong expressions on certain matters, and offend people easily with the honesty.
Men don't have it easy either. When it comes to court cases, women are always better off, even in cases where this isn't true. And there are evil men about, but damn right there are evil women too.
So there we have become equal, the evilness. Also stupidity.
Btw, designer high heels aren't that special. Anybody can slap on crap with a gluegun and make a cheap high heel look pretty. Let's get a designer step up and make normal, functional shoes beautiful!
I don't like high heels. They are uncomfortable, they are really bad for your feet, (hello bunyons) they can really alter your posture, but not always in the good way, and remember ladies, when you can't walk with them, swinging about like a sick moose is not, I repeat, NOT a good look.
But anyhoo, may this day be just general appreciation to your surroundings, friends, family, loved ones near and far, and leave the gift demands, and have a cuppa and a cuddle instead.
over and out.

poopsticks
Well, that's another lot of days gone past and still haven't got piccies up or anything.
Just been to a hen night this weekend, and was happy coming back home. Until I noticed that nothing has been done since I left. Dishes are piling up, and even to this day, the other half seems to think that dirty clothes are picked up by pixies, who then carry all the stinky rags into the washing machine....
Being to a really seedy club, that had a firebreather in the small dancefloor, I can relate to the quote from Lethal Weapon- movies, "I'm too old for this shit".
My ears ached, as obviously people nowadays are bloody deaf, so the music blurted out was so loud, you couldn't tell the songs apart, and my only goal was to get back to hotel in a relatively sober state so I can hit the pool and sauna in the morning.
I like going to places and pubs, but also what is one of the major factors of enjoying ones' self, is the company!
But enough of that, have to get geared in my rubbergloves and commence the tidying up, so I can eventually get back to my crafting projects, that have been so badly neglected.
Tootsie too

busy as a bee
There is more stencils on their way. Will put photos up of all finished ones. Just preparing The Doors stencils, just need some clothing to try printing on...
In other news, my leopard fetish would make Snooki green of envy, just bought a mirror with leopard frame and more leopard cushions. They'll match the leopard rug, bedding, curtains and soon to be wallpaper.
The tackier, the better.
Also managed to snag some New Kids On The Block and Marc Almond vinyl singles. Really need to get a record player again.
And now for something completely different, a picture of my hound, that my daughter took with her toycamera.

Some serious stuff...
This
Yeah, I know, dailyfail yadi yada yada....But this time, this article was actually pretty good.
I have a daughter and almost every day, I think of how to help her grow into a healthy, wholesome and clever woman.
We have had toys, both for boys and girls, same as clothes. When she was 3, we watched a lot of the old Spiderman-cartoons, and she wanted clothes with pictures of Spiderman. And most clothes for girls are just endless pink frills and princessy stuff. So I had to buy her boys clothing, so she gets the images she wanted.
Why are kids so hardly pushed into extreme moulds. There is something called balance, to keep both sides there, feminine and masculine. Neither of them are better from each other, but when both sides are balanced, it makes things a lot easier.
Being a total princess, or tomboy makes you lose out on things. Learning to break free from the moulds people try to put others has been one of the biggest challenges of my life, and I'm getting there slowly, but surely.
I wouldn't blame just toys, or media, but bad parenting put together with these things just makes the soup a lot to handle.
I find it strange how men are raised with the thought that empathy/sympathy and certain levels of tenderness are cowardly and un-manly, and somehow makes them girly. Empathy/sympathy shouldn't be gender-dependent.
Also women who like DIY or can handle tools, and are straight forward are considered as tomboys, or at least manly.
It's all these stereotypes that we keep on teaching to our own kids, instead of trying to learn to balance things.
And as it comes to sexualisation. When you are a parent, you become very aware of everything being sold with sex. Music, clothes, soaps, tv shows, perfumes etc etc. The list goes on.
In the old days sex stayed in the bedroom. Now it's on the streets, newspapers, adverts...Music had innuendos, and hidden meanings, now it's just blatant, raunchy and in your face.
I have been extremely lucky to be loved, and raised in a manner that has given me self confidence and ability to use my own brain. We never had money, or toys, or things, or owned a house, a car, but I did grow up into a chick with some cojones.
This is what I try to teach my own daughter. Like whatever she wants, be confident, love herself as she is, love the imperfections too, and that bad days happen to everybody, we just need to learn how to deal with them the best way possible. Life isn't a picnic, things sometimes go wrong, sad things happen, and you can't control every aspect of your life.
I don't want to sound patronising, or mean, but I want to get people to get their brain switched back on. As it seems to have been on the OFF-mode for waaaayyyyyyy too long.
I could keep on going on these subjects forever, but I won't.

Feckin' lurgy!
I was able to avoid the dreaded snots for pretty long, but it has finally reached my household. Manny has the manflu and le child is snotty. I have a headache and a hedgehog lodging in my throat.
And it's gotta be bad if even music won't lift my moods...And that gives me a good bridge..
Music,
metal, rap, jazz, blues, classical, pop, rock, new age, happy hardcore....
I like 'em all.
I'm a stubborn donkey, and won't have anybody telling me what I can listen to and what not.
I used to like mostly metal and rock, but age has brought me this new found confidence with experimenting "new" music, and I like it.
I've let myself dive about youtube and checking old and new artists.
So no matter what you are, let music talk to you, not your friends or anybody else. If you're a metalhead and like rap, or pop etc, embrace it. Same goes for anything really.
That's my wisdom for the night.

New year, new shit
*plop* and yet another blogger has been born. Like there isn't enough of folk using the great interwebs to post their crafts, ideas, moans, and pictures of what they are wearing.
I have thought about blogging for a long time, but never got around to it.
It will be random, so hope it's entertaining enough to read more....
Will make a little introduction when I have pics to add.
Ta ta for now!
