leap of....

plague. I have it. Wooo.A cactus has taking a lodging in my throat, horrid stuff.
A few weeks back saw this gem in a bootsale... I didn't buy it, even though I know some people I would play it with...... And the joke there is that these are on the list for worlds most dangerous toys, as they have killed and maimed......
Lil'un found a cute momiji-cup. Very kawaii indeed.

 Morse horse!!!!!
Finally one opened, loads more waiting for sun and warm weather...
Urgh, did some sewing for a friend, blackout curtains. I hate that fabric.
Had noms in a new eatery, was nice indeed. Mmmm root beer.

Plague ahoy!

Just to rub it in, this virus that has been lingering in the kiddo, has now brought new experiences with kiddos first ever ear infection. Horrible times were had, lots of painkillers and tears. Kiddo is gutted as she has missed out on quite a few piano lessons now for being off school, and it's not helping that the asshat of the house says that she needs to go to her lesson or then someone else deserves her place. WTF? I had to really hold myself down for not smacking him with something. I'm sure if getting sick would be a choice, noone would do it. Dear lord, the stupid.

Well in between the sleeplessness, downing all the coffee and administrating painkillers, I managed to paint a bureau lid with blackboard paint, so now she can be messy on furniture with a permission.
A pile of cards I made a while back

Feresi, a Karelian dress, traditional style
 Cheapskate gardening....
Cheapskate crafts, all the leftover scrap fabric into a little basket
 Bureau with blackboard/magnetic paint
Shitty strawberry nails, bored morning...

Cheapskate gardening is my favourite hobby! I have fuck all money to spend, so scraping something nice together from poundshop shit and other recycled tat is much more interesting to do than walking into a garden centre and throwing a fuckton of money at some posh plants that probably dislike the shitty climate anyway. Got the logs from my neighbour, used some old shed paint I had, and crocheted some little bum covers from old clothes.....

Right, get my shit together and ready for bed, I'm knackered and have to prepare myself for the possibility of yet another night of meds dispensing......

It's oh so quiet....

Bienvenidos to my newest follower. Welcome to the familia of the slightly off the norm... I shall resume my usual rants and crafting crap after I get my lil 'un on the mend. She has been poorly with a nasty bug that keeps her temperature going up and down like a friggin seesaw.
I need more coffee.
See you soon.

alistofverydirtycurses

I'm starting to get a bit bored of this one-after-another lurgy/cough/cold. Can folk just stop spreading the germs. If you're sick, stay at home.
The minis got a nasty cough, just as she was "ok" for abit, after having chicken pox.
We eat industrial strength d3-vitamin, and been adding c-vitamin and zinc now that it has been non stop plagues.
Yet nothing.
At least had a lovely guest over, so that cheered us up.
Now rest, as I am flippin knackered, and I can sense that I'll be sorting out cough mccoughinton through the night. Sigh.

aaagghhhh!

So seriously, I have yet another lurgy, and now the little 'un has chicken pox. Can't wait to see the back of this winter. Endless colds.
I've started another project too, bought a bureau, was a bit grubby, but will do.
Gave it a sanding n a clean, and primered it, yet still the paint doesn't seem to stick. Not impressed. I've painted furniture before, and can honestly say the water based paints are a waste of time. Come summer and I'll probably re-do the bureau, but with proper paints.

Will also be able to stick some photos up soon too, as I have done a lot of stenciling, now just need to iron them to fix the fabric paint to make them washable.

Be back soon

Darn it...

Just to make complicate things the dreaded lurgy is back in the hoose, this time on the mini-me. And I'm not feeling too fresh either. This time of the year brings all the nasties smaller than a squirrel out, and if you have mini-mes, they are like walking petri-dishes. Although adults are worse. Learn yer fecking manners. Cough in your sleeve, wash your hands, and stop sneezing on other people.
Cannot believe the amount of folk that walk past you and cough in your face. Rude. Even my kid knows to cough in the sleeve or tissue. Things spread like wildfire as people don't maintain basic levels of hygiene and keep going to work and other places with full on colds and plagues.
  Keep it to youself, thanks!

At least I have gotten something done with my eternal pile of crafting projects.
More stenciling to be done, a load of dyeing done, embroidering a bed cover that I put together from scraps of fabric and mini-me's favourite t-shirts. Still more to do though. Photos coming soon...ish. :D

ba-bye for now
